Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Investment Trust and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO) added 24.78% or 11.20 points to end at 56.40 and Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI), which fell 11.09% or 122.30 points to trade at 980.00 at the close. Ceylinco Insurance PLC (CM:CINS) declined 7.41% or 120.00 points to end at 1500.00 and Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) was down 7.14% or 0.100 points to 1.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 94 to 80 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 100.00% or 0.100 to 0.200.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.37% or 0.17 to $46.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.43% or 0.21 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.42 to trade at $1237.12 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.02% to 200.420, while USD/LKR rose 0.20% to 153.790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 94.43.
