Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Palm Oil and Trading sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which rose 44.72% or 237.92 points to trade at 769.90 at the close. Meanwhile, F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE) added 18.75% or 0.600 points to end at 3.800 and Kalpitiya Beach Resort PLC (CM:CITK) was up 16.67% or 0.500 points to 3.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Namunukula Plantations PLC (CM:NAMU), which fell 9.84% or 9.40 points to trade at 86.10 at the close. Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB) declined 8.34% or 21.40 points to end at 235.10 and Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) was down 6.61% or 3.80 points to 53.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 111 to 89 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 18.75% or 0.600 to 3.800.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.52% or 1.22 to $47.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.53% or 1.28 to hit $49.35 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.39 to trade at $1262.61 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.32% to 196.405, while USD/LKR fell 0.07% to 152.710.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 97.16.
