Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Trading, Footwear & Textile and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) added 22.22% or 0.200 points to end at 1.100 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was up 21.45% or 131.60 points to 745.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which fell 13.29% or 11.10 points to trade at 72.40 at the close. Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) declined 10.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.900 and Regnis Lanka PLC (CM:REG) was down 9.34% or 10.30 points to 100.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 112 to 75 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) fell to 5-year lows; down 10.00% or 0.100 to 0.900. Shares in Regnis Lanka PLC (CM:REG) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.34% or 10.30 to 100.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.50% or 0.31 to $61.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.61% or 0.40 to hit $65.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 7.00 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.05% to 215.655, while USD/LKR rose 0.10% to 155.640.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 90.07.
