Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Trading, Stores & Supplies and Palm Oil sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Sinhaputhra Finance PLC (CM:SFL) added 16.39% or 2.00 points to end at 14.20 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 14.29% or 0.1000 points to 0.8000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:PARA), which fell 13.82% or 10.10 points to trade at 63.00 at the close. Serendib Engineering Group PLC (CM:IDL) declined 10.78% or 1.10 points to end at 9.10 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was down 10.00% or 0.100 points to 0.900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 108 to 68 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.55% or 0.28 to $50.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.53% or 0.30 to hit $55.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.36% or 17.85 to trade at $1298.55 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.49% to 206.080, while USD/LKR rose 0.04% to 152.750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 92.22.
