Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Motors and Trading sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ), which rose 24.39% or 6.00 points to trade at 30.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) added 20.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.600 and Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) was up 17.50% or 70.00 points to 470.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE), which fell 16.67% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF) declined 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and CIC Holdings PLC (CM:CIC) was down 10.54% or 5.10 points to 43.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 76 to 73 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) fell to all time lows; losing 16.67% or 0.100 to 0.500.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.31% or 0.21 to $67.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.78% or 0.60 to hit $77.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1199.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.16% to 211.205, while USD/LKR fell 0.11% to 162.210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.22.
