Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Beverages & Tobacco, Investment Trust and Motors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were J L Morison Sons & Jones (Ceylon) PLC (CM:MORI), which rose 25.50% or 108.70 points to trade at 535.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) added 25.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.500 and Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC (CM:CEYL) was up 21.62% or 0.800 points to 4.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hunas Falls Hotels PLC (CM:HUNA), which fell 11.18% or 6.80 points to trade at 54.00 at the close. Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) declined 10.85% or 49.90 points to end at 410.00 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) was down 9.79% or 3.80 points to 35.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 104 to 76 and 55 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $51.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $57.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 9.27 to trade at $1292.43 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.09% to 205.520, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 153.090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 93.14.
