Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Power & Energy, Motors and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.01% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) added 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 1.000 and PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) was up 11.11% or 0.100 points to 1.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which fell 50.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.1000 at the close. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) declined 24.74% or 366.60 points to end at 1115.10 and Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC (CM:ASHO) was down 17.32% or 213.90 points to 1021.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 82 to 81 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to all time lows; losing 50.00% or 0.1000 to 0.1000.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.58% or 0.28 to $48.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.61 to trade at $1292.09 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.23% to 196.055, while USD/LKR rose 0.01% to 152.990.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.23.
