Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Investment Trust, Land & Property and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were On’ally Holdings PLC (CM:ONAL), which rose 18.33% or 8.80 points to trade at 56.80 at the close. Meanwhile, CT Land Development PLC (CM:CTLD) added 16.90% or 7.20 points to end at 49.80 and HNB Assurance PLC (CM:HASU) was up 10.48% or 5.50 points to 58.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EB Creasy and Company PLC (CM:EBCR), which fell 19.92% or 249.00 points to trade at 1001.00 at the close. Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL) declined 19.60% or 13.70 points to end at 56.20 and Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) was down 19.56% or 279.60 points to 1150.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 110 to 61 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.59% or 0.32 to $53.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.60% or 0.34 to hit $56.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.85 to trade at $1231.05 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.10% to 188.730, while USD/LKR fell 0.02% to 150.770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.76.
