Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Diversified Holdings and Land & Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Kotagala Plantations PLC (CM:KOTA) added 14.63% or 3.00 points to end at 23.50 and Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which fell 16.67% or 0.10 points to trade at 0.60 at the close. SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) declined 10.00% or 0.10 points to end at 1.00 and Singer Industries PLC (CM:SINI) was down 7.75% or 14.70 points to 175.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 139 to 86 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 50.00% or 0.100 to 0.300. Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to all time lows; losing 16.67% or 0.10 to 0.60. Shares in SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.00% or 0.10 to 1.00. Shares in Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) rose to 52-week lows; rising 14.29% or 0.100 to 0.700. Shares in Singer Industries PLC (CM:SINI) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.75% or 14.70 to 175.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.94% or 0.42 to $45.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.13% or 0.54 to hit $48.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1107.20 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.66% to 215.010, while USD/LKR fell 0.17% to 141.325.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 98.21.
