Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Manufacturing and Banking, Financials & Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which rose 16.67% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, Softlogic Finance PLC (CM:CAPR) added 16.46% or 5.20 points to end at 36.80 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT), which fell 20.66% or 18.90 points to trade at 72.60 at the close. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) declined 12.25% or 181.50 points to end at 1300.20 and City Housing and Real Estate Company PLC (CM:CHOU) was down 9.09% or 0.60 points to 6.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 113 to 75 and 57 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.32% or 0.73 to $55.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.88% or 0.54 to hit $61.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.48 to trade at $1283.68 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.38% to 203.550, while USD/LKR rose 0.04% to 153.720.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 93.58.
