Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking, Financials & Insurance and Land & Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Orient Finance PLC (CM:ORIT) added 19.53% or 2.50 points to end at 15.30 and Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL) was up 14.68% or 253.40 points to 1980.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which fell 20.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) declined 14.85% or 4.50 points to end at 25.80 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was down 7.69% or 0.100 points to 1.200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 105 to 81 and 53 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.30% or 0.16 to $52.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $58.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1275.05 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.79% to 203.430, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 153.840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.69.
