Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which rose 50.00% or 0.2000 points to trade at 0.6000 at the close. Meanwhile, Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) added 14.29% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Lanka Ceramic PLC (CM:CERA) was up 13.46% or 14.90 points to 125.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI), which fell 24.13% or 349.80 points to trade at 1100.10 at the close. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) declined 21.73% or 361.00 points to end at 1300.20 and Standard Capital PLC (CM:SING) was down 13.04% or 9.00 points to 60.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 104 to 61 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Standard Capital PLC (CM:SING) fell to 52-week lows; down 13.04% or 9.00 to 60.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.37% or 0.18 to $48.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.31% or 0.16 to hit $51.90 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1228.35 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.09% to 188.520, while USD/LKR fell 0.03% to 152.200.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 100.02.
