Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Palm Oil sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) added 14.29% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC (CM:ASPH) was up 13.43% or 46.30 points to 391.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH), which fell 16.67% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Udapussellawa Plantations PLC (CM:UDPL) declined 15.43% or 5.20 points to end at 28.50 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was down 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 96 to 77 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) fell to all time lows; falling 16.67% or 0.100 to 0.500. Shares in Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) fell to all time lows; losing 12.50% or 0.100 to 0.700.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.34% or 0.22 to $64.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.21% or 0.91 to hit $74.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1294.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.31% to 212.000, while USD/LKR fell 0.11% to 158.570.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.00.
