Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Trading, Investment Trust and Footwear & Textile sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.20% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL), which rose 28.57% or 0.200 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Meanwhile, SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) added 20.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.6000 and Lighthouse Hotel PLC (CM:LHL) was up 18.37% or 9.00 points to 58.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which fell 23.90% or 19.60 points to trade at 62.40 at the close. Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) declined 14.44% or 3.90 points to end at 23.10 and Renuka City Hotel PLC (CM:RENU) was down 8.33% or 25.00 points to 275.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 141 to 46 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.17% or 0.09 to $52.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $55.90 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.55 to trade at $1259.45 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.20% to 188.835, while USD/LKR rose 0.10% to 151.920.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.78.
