Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Stores & Supplies, Footwear & Textile and Diversified Holdings sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Bogala Graphite Lanka PLC (CM:BOGA), which rose 36.52% or 10.70 points to trade at 40.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Guardian Capital Partners PLC (CM:WAPO) added 18.41% or 7.20 points to end at 46.30 and PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) was up 16.67% or 0.10 points to 0.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which fell 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) declined 11.70% or 119.90 points to end at 905.00 and Metropolitan Resource Holdings PLC (CM:MPRH) was down 11.53% or 3.40 points to 26.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 124 to 115 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bogala Graphite Lanka PLC (CM:BOGA) rose to 3-years highs; rising 36.52% or 10.70 to 40.00.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.35% or 0.61 to $45.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.30% or 0.62 to hit $48.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1168.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.14% to 217.705, while USD/LKR rose 0.06% to 141.205.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.14.
