Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Footwear & Textile, Healthcare and Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Lake House Printers and Publishers PLC (CM:LPRT), which rose 25.00% or 26.90 points to trade at 134.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) added 20.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.6000 and PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) was up 20.00% or 0.100 points to 0.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM), which fell 20.71% or 5.80 points to trade at 22.20 at the close. Mercantile Shipping Company PLC (CM:MSL) declined 16.00% or 12.00 points to end at 63.00 and Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) was down 10.00% or 9.40 points to 84.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 83 to 80 and 62 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.92% or 0.65 to $71.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.15% or 0.90 to hit $79.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 9.10 to trade at $1309.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.26% to 214.260, while USD/LKR rose 0.12% to 158.210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 92.63.
