Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Plantations, Investment Trust and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, J L Morison Sons & Jones (Ceylon) PLC (CM:MORI) added 17.52% or 74.70 points to end at 501.00 and George Steuart Finance Ltd (CM:GEOR) was up 15.05% or 3.10 points to 23.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC (CM:AHUN), which fell 9.19% or 3.40 points to trade at 33.60 at the close. Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) declined 8.33% or 0.100 points to end at 1.100 and Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK) was down 7.69% or 0.10 points to 1.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 111 to 75 and 69 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.40% or 0.21 to $52.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.65% or 0.38 to hit $58.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.04 to trade at $1305.46 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.06% to 205.745, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 153.020.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 92.80.
