Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Land & Property, Plantations and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF), which rose 20.00% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 19.30% or 13.70 points to end at 84.70 and Harischandra Mills PLC (CM:HARI) was up 17.78% or 240.00 points to 1590.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB), which fell 9.40% or 17.90 points to trade at 172.50 at the close. Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) declined 8.33% or 0.100 points to end at 1.100 and Capital Alliance Finance PLC (CM:CAFL) was down 6.80% or 1.70 points to 23.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.70% or 0.40 to $57.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.88% or 0.55 to hit $63.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.76 to trade at $1276.96 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.60% to 206.175, while USD/LKR fell 0.61% to 152.660.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 92.97.
