Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Plantations and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 21.67% or 14.50 points to end at 81.40 and Madulsima Plantations PLC (CM:MADU) was up 18.75% or 2.10 points to 13.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD), which fell 24.45% or 379.00 points to trade at 1171.00 at the close. Hikkaduwa Beach Resort Ltd (CM:CITH) declined 12.21% or 1.60 points to end at 11.50 and Odel PLC (CM:ODEL) was down 8.33% or 1.90 points to 20.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 91 to 56 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD) fell to 52-week lows; falling 24.45% or 379.00 to 1171.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $56.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.15 to hit $62.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 9.70 to trade at $1258.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.58% to 205.920, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 153.230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.46.
