Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Investment Trust and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH), which rose 13.33% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Hospitals PLC (CM:CHL) added 13.30% or 12.90 points to end at 109.90 and Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) was up 11.68% or 7.10 points to 67.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO), which fell 6.40% or 4.80 points to trade at 70.20 at the close. Namunukula Plantations PLC (CM:NAMU) declined 6.28% or 4.70 points to end at 70.20 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was down 5.54% or 74.80 points to 1275.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 99 to 56 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.55% or 0.27 to $49.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.80% or 0.40 to hit $50.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1270.85 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.34% to 179.900, while USD/LKR rose 0.10% to 146.995.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 98.57.
