Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Trading and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, AIA Insurance Lanka PLC (CM:AVIV) added 25.00% or 131.30 points to end at 656.50 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) was up 24.80% or 6.10 points to 30.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP), which fell 8.33% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.100 at the close. Hikkaduwa Beach Resort Ltd (CM:CITH) declined 7.41% or 0.40 points to end at 5.00 and Ceylinco Insurance PLC (CM:CINS) was down 7.14% or 150.00 points to 1950.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 114 to 64 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in AIA Insurance Lanka PLC (CM:AVIV) rose to all time highs; rising 25.00% or 131.30 to 656.50.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.68% or 0.48 to $69.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.55% or 0.43 to hit $77.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.20 to trade at $1212.20 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.08% to 210.010, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 161.490.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.66.
