Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Footwear & Textile, Motors and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:PARA), which rose 28.25% or 15.20 points to trade at 69.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 18.03% or 12.80 points to end at 83.80 and Colombo Investment Trust PLC (CM:CIT) was up 10.87% or 9.60 points to 97.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which fell 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD) declined 19.35% or 300.00 points to end at 1250.00 and Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) was down 19.01% or 281.70 points to 1200.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 80 to 75 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) fell to all time lows; falling 25.00% or 0.100 to 0.300.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.81% or 0.47 to $57.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.93% or 0.59 to hit $62.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.57 to trade at $1294.33 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 1.32% to 206.180, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 153.790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.11.
