Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Beverages & Tobacco and Trading sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Colombo Investment Trust PLC (CM:CIT), which rose 24.97% or 18.00 points to trade at 90.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL) added 24.93% or 9.00 points to end at 45.10 and Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) was up 18.03% or 12.80 points to 83.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD), which fell 22.58% or 350.00 points to trade at 1200.00 at the close. People’s Merchant Finance PLC (CM:PMB) declined 13.99% or 2.00 points to end at 12.30 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was down 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 101 to 65 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.63% or 0.37 to $58.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.43% or 0.27 to hit $63.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.95 to trade at $1293.25 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.11% to 205.260, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 153.740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 92.62.
