Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Trading, Information Technology and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) added 25.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.500 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 14.29% or 0.1000 points to 0.8000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK), which fell 13.33% or 0.20 points to trade at 1.30 at the close. Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) declined 12.56% or 179.60 points to end at 1250.00 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was down 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 95 to 68 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.04% or 0.50 to $47.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $52.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.52 to trade at $1302.42 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.14% to 197.265, while USD/LKR fell 0.07% to 152.900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.36.
