Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Motors, Investment Trust and Diversified Holdings sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS), which rose 20.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 0.700 and Asia Asset Finance Ltd (CM:ASAS) was up 10.00% or 0.100 points to 1.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 19.72% or 16.70 points to trade at 68.00 at the close. Hotel Sigiriya PLC (CM:HSIG) declined 14.53% or 8.50 points to end at 50.00 and Sunshine Holdings PLC (CM:SUN) was down 9.09% or 5.00 points to 50.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 92 to 81 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.00% or 0.70 to $69.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.17% or 0.94 to hit $79.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1226.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.08% to 224.860, while USD/LKR rose 0.15% to 171.290.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 95.25.
