Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Dunamis Capital PLC (CM:CSEC), which rose 90.27% or 16.70 points to trade at 35.20 at the close. Meanwhile, PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) added 25.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.500 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 25.00% or 0.1000 points to 0.5000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 18.54% or 15.70 points to trade at 69.00 at the close. Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) declined 16.67% or 0.100 points to end at 0.500 and Pegasus Hotels of Ceylon PLC (CM:PEG) was down 10.51% or 2.70 points to 23.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 93 to 72 and 53 ended unchanged.

Shares in Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) fell to all time lows; losing 16.67% or 0.100 to 0.500. Shares in SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) rose to 5-year lows; rising 25.00% or 0.1000 to 0.5000. Shares in Pegasus Hotels of Ceylon PLC (CM:PEG) fell to 5-year lows; down 10.51% or 2.70 to 23.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.35% or 0.95 to $69.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.73% or 0.58 to hit $79.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1210.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.39% to 212.515, while USD/LKR rose 0.22% to 162.850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 94.90.
