Investing.com - Splunk Inc 's (NASDAQ:SPLK) shares climbed during Thursday’s extended session as investors cheered the company’s latest quarterly results and updated forecast.
The data-analytics software company posted adjusted second quarter earnings of $0.08 on revenue of $280 million. Analysts were looking for earnings of $0.06 on revenue of $268.8 million.
In concert with the company’s expectation topping results, it increased its full year revenue estimates to $1.21 billion to $1.22 billion, up from a previous estimate of just under $1.2 billion. Analysts had forecast revenue of $1.2 billion.
Splunk's shares were up almost 10% in after hours trading.
