Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Financial Services and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.85% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. (SE:3020), which rose 4.49% or 0.92 points to trade at 21.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) added 4.16% or 1.80 points to end at 45.10 and Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SE:4050) was up 4.02% or 0.78 points to 20.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030), which fell 4.76% or 0.80 points to trade at 16.00 at the close. Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) declined 4.49% or 4.00 points to end at 85.00 and Samba Financial Group (SE:1090) was down 4.33% or 1.30 points to 28.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 131 to 47 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. (SE:3020) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.49% or 0.92 to 21.40. Shares in The Saudi Investment Bank (SE:1030) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.76% or 0.80 to 16.00. Shares in Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (SE:4200) rose to 3-years highs; rising 4.16% or 1.80 to 45.10. Shares in Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SE:4050) rose to 3-years highs; rising 4.02% or 0.78 to 20.20.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.06% or 0.59 to $56.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.38% or 0.23 to hit $60.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.25 to trade at $1550.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.07% to 4.1510, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 98.303.
