Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Financial Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.74%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Qassim Cement Co (TADAWUL:3040), which rose 4.90% or 3.70 points to trade at 79.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Yanbu Cement Co. (TADAWUL:3060) added 3.51% or 1.15 points to end at 33.95 and Eastern Province Cement Co. (TADAWUL:3080) was up 3.37% or 1.50 points to 46.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310), which fell 9.97% or 1.30 points to trade at 11.74 at the close. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040) declined 8.57% or 3.90 points to end at 41.60 and Saudi Advanced Industries Co. (TADAWUL:2120) was down 6.21% or 2.30 points to 34.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 155 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.97% or 1.30 to 11.74.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.49% or 2.73 to $107.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.23% or 2.51 to hit $109.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.85 to trade at $1,816.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.09% to 3.91, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 104.84.
