Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Multi Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.62% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Jabal Omar Development Company (SE:4250), which rose 1.41% or 1.04 points to trade at 74.75 at the close. Meanwhile, AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) added 1.24% or 0.30 points to end at 24.45 and The National Shipping Co. (SE:4030) was up 1.00% or 0.51 points to 51.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070), which fell 9.83% or 11.75 points to trade at 107.75 at the close. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) declined 7.98% or 3.34 points to end at 38.50 and Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140) was down 6.99% or 3.83 points to 51.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 154 to 11.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.68% or 1.00 to $58.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.81% or 1.15 to hit $62.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.48% or 5.60 to trade at $1178.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.42% to 4.1679, while USD/SAR rose 0.06% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 95.75.
