Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Agriculture & Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370), which rose 2.80% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.00 at the close. Meanwhile, The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) added 2.46% or 0.36 points to end at 15.00 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 1.72% or 0.42 points to 24.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which fell 4.71% or 0.76 points to trade at 15.38 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) declined 4.24% or 0.46 points to end at 10.40 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) was down 4.06% or 1.65 points to 39.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 170 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.54% or 1.81 to $52.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.28% or 1.97 to hit $61.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.05 to trade at $1340.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.2286, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.025.
