Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.38% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which rose 9.01% or 0.98 points to trade at 11.86 at the close. Meanwhile, City Cement Co (SE:3003) added 6.76% or 0.92 points to end at 14.52 and National Company for Learning and Education SJSC (SE:4291) was up 4.98% or 1.30 points to 27.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001), which fell 4.64% or 3.90 points to trade at 80.10 at the close. Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff .Co (SE:2270) declined 4.59% or 6.20 points to end at 128.80 and Saudi Arabian Mining Company (SE:1211) was down 4.14% or 1.95 points to 45.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 99 to 83 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in City Cement Co (SE:3003) rose to 52-week highs; rising 6.76% or 0.92 to 14.52.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.77% or 1.52 to $56.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.03% or 1.20 to hit $60.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 6.45 to trade at $1545.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.10% to 4.1550, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 98.123.
