Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Petrochemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300), which rose 4.69% or 0.60 points to trade at 13.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) added 2.69% or 0.64 points to end at 24.44 and Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) was up 2.44% or 0.90 points to 37.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140), which fell 7.54% or 7.30 points to trade at 89.50 at the close. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) declined 6.94% or 5.00 points to end at 67.00 and Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110) was down 4.38% or 0.70 points to 15.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 160 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.69% or 0.64 to 24.44. Shares in Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.44% or 0.90 to 37.75.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.49% or 1.68 to $46.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.16% or 1.81 to hit $55.43 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.70 to trade at $1259.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.65% to 4.2965, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7523.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 95.880.
