Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrial Investment, Cement and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.09% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082), which rose 4.23% or 6.60 points to trade at 162.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Svcs (TADAWUL:4200) added 2.71% or 1.80 points to end at 68.30 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co (TADAWUL:8312) was up 2.56% or 0.58 points to 23.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8050), which fell 8.59% or 1.86 points to trade at 19.80 at the close. CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) declined 6.00% or 1.30 points to end at 20.38 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (TADAWUL:4002) was down 5.49% or 12.80 points to 220.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 214 to 31 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8050) fell to 5-year lows; losing 8.59% or 1.86 to 19.80.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.34% or 3.77 to $83.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.90% or 3.62 to hit $89.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.40 to trade at $1,714.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.13% to 3.73, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 110.50.
