Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Industrial Investment and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220), which rose 3.06% or 0.36 points to trade at 12.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 2.62% or 2.30 points to end at 90.00 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 1.97% or 0.50 points to 25.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which fell 4.66% or 1.22 points to trade at 24.98 at the close. Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370) declined 4.29% or 0.90 points to end at 20.10 and Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8020) was down 4.25% or 0.98 points to 22.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 198 to 20 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.43% or 0.33 to $75.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $78.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.13% or 20.45 to trade at $1790.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.04% to 4.2489, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7543.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.095.
