Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Petrochemicals, Building & Construction and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110), which rose 4.10% or 1.20 points to trade at 30.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) added 2.37% or 1.00 points to end at 43.20 and National Medical Care Company (SE:4005) was up 2.31% or 1.60 points to 71.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160), which fell 5.59% or 2.75 points to trade at 46.45 at the close. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) declined 5.55% or 3.40 points to end at 57.90 and Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co (SE:2380) was down 4.87% or 1.30 points to 25.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 185 to 38 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.10% or 1.20 to 30.50. Shares in Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.59% or 2.75 to 46.45.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 8.02% or 8.77 to $100.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 7.33% or 8.26 to hit $104.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.41% or 27.95 to trade at $1,957.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.47% to 4.11, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.89.
