Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020), which rose 8.44% or 1.02 points to trade at 13.10 at the close. Meanwhile, National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010) added 5.14% or 1.25 points to end at 25.55 and Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) was up 5.02% or 1.08 points to 22.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050), which fell 4.89% or 1.16 points to trade at 22.56 at the close. Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110) declined 4.34% or 0.74 points to end at 16.30 and Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200) was down 3.77% or 0.52 points to 13.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 149 to 42 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.44% or 1.02 to 13.10. Shares in National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.14% or 1.25 to 25.55.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.19% or 0.07 to $36.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.56% or 0.22 to hit $39.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.07% or 35.90 to trade at $1698.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.48% to 4.2112, while USD/SAR rose 0.07% to 3.7550.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 97.425.
