Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Agriculture & Food and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Methanol Chemicals Company (TADAWUL:2001), which rose 5.39% or 2.45 points to trade at 47.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. (TADAWUL:3020) added 4.62% or 1.55 points to end at 35.10 and National Gas & Industrialization Co (TADAWUL:2080) was up 4.56% or 2.10 points to 48.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Arabian Mining Company (TADAWUL:1211), which fell 5.41% or 8.00 points to trade at 140.00 at the close. International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082) declined 3.24% or 4.60 points to end at 137.40 and Al Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co SJSC (TADAWUL:8170) was down 3.24% or 0.70 points to 20.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 124 to 100 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Methanol Chemicals Company (TADAWUL:2001) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.39% or 2.45 to 47.90.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.42% or 1.43 to $102.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.68% or 1.76 to hit $106.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.90 to trade at $1,978.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.06% to 4.06, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.36.
