Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Agriculture & Food and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wafrah for Industry and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2100), which rose 10.00% or 3.15 points to trade at 34.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180) added 9.96% or 1.54 points to end at 17.00 and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040) was up 8.38% or 8.80 points to 113.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Almarai Company (TADAWUL:2280), which fell 4.66% or 3.10 points to trade at 63.40 at the close. International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082) declined 4.64% or 9.40 points to end at 193.00 and The Company for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8010) was down 4.13% or 5.00 points to 116.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 145 to 121 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040) rose to 5-year highs; up 8.38% or 8.80 to 113.80.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.48% or 1.21 to $82.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.02% or 0.87 to hit $86.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 3.35 to trade at $1,969.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.70% to 4.07, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 103.62.
