Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Hotels & Tourism and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which rose 9.78% or 6.59 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) added 4.14% or 0.38 points to end at 9.55 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 2.58% or 1.25 points to 49.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320), which fell 4.12% or 1.80 points to trade at 41.90 at the close. Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) declined 3.75% or 1.09 points to end at 28.00 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) was down 2.97% or 0.62 points to 20.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 127 to 39.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.32% or 0.14 to $43.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.41% or 0.20 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.43% or 15.80 to trade at $1123.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 1.40% to 4.1992, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7507.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.18% at 96.09.
