Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Real Estate Development and Petrochemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.54% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060), which rose 9.91% or 6.40 points to trade at 71.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) added 9.39% or 2.18 points to end at 25.40 and National Company for Learning and Education SJSC (SE:4291) was up 8.12% or 2.35 points to 31.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110), which fell 9.91% or 1.68 points to trade at 15.28 at the close. AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY (SE:3091) declined 5.65% or 0.62 points to end at 10.36 and Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) was down 3.70% or 0.70 points to 18.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 109 to 77 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) rose to 3-years highs; up 9.91% or 6.40 to 71.00. Shares in Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) fell to 3-years lows; losing 9.91% or 1.68 to 15.28. Shares in Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.39% or 2.18 to 25.40. Shares in National Company for Learning and Education SJSC (SE:4291) rose to all time highs; up 8.12% or 2.35 to 31.30.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.54% or 1.26 to $50.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.59% or 1.40 to hit $55.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 4.35 to trade at $1559.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.30% to 4.1303, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7516.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 98.060.
