Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate Development, Media & Publishing and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Hail Cement Company (SE:3001), which rose 6.47% or 0.86 points to trade at 14.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005) added 4.67% or 1.13 points to end at 25.35 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) was up 4.31% or 1.30 points to 31.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE:4300), which fell 5.99% or 0.64 points to trade at 10.04 at the close. Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001) declined 3.89% or 3.60 points to end at 89.00 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) was down 3.11% or 2.70 points to 84.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 106 to 78 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hail Cement Company (SE:3001) rose to 3-years highs; up 6.47% or 0.86 to 14.16. Shares in Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.67% or 1.13 to 25.35. Shares in AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.31% or 1.30 to 31.45.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.15% or 0.09 to $58.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $64.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 10.15 to trade at $1554.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.23% to 4.1840, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7516.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.970.
