Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Multi Investment, Energy & Utilities and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160), which rose 1.89% or 0.30 points to trade at 16.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) added 1.61% or 0.55 points to end at 34.80 and Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) was up 1.52% or 0.34 points to 22.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which fell 3.76% or 0.48 points to trade at 12.30 at the close. Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) declined 3.55% or 1.20 points to end at 32.65 and Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260) was down 2.91% or 0.54 points to 18.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 129 to 37 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.89% or 0.43 to $47.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.42% or 0.22 to hit $52.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.66 to trade at $1293.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.07% to 4.4249, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.19.
