Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which rose 9.02% or 1.78 points to trade at 21.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) added 7.44% or 1.79 points to end at 25.85 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) was up 5.51% or 0.88 points to 16.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150), which fell 3.53% or 0.66 points to trade at 18.04 at the close. Saudi Telecom (SE:7010) declined 3.46% or 2.60 points to end at 72.60 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was down 3.06% or 0.40 points to 12.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 88 to 70 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.02% or 1.78 to 21.52. Shares in Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.44% or 1.79 to 25.85.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.32% or 0.65 to $49.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.89% or 0.49 to hit $55.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.81 to trade at $1327.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.08% to 4.4536, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 92.36.
