Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Telecoms & IT and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 2.83% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were SABB Takaful (SE:8080), which rose 9.89% or 3.25 points to trade at 36.10 at the close. Meanwhile, ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) added 7.16% or 2.85 points to end at 42.65 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150) was up 6.04% or 2.85 points to 50.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Raydan Co (SE:6012), which fell 3.00% or 1.05 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY (SE:3091) declined 2.44% or 0.30 points to end at 11.98 and Anaam International Holding Group (SE:4061) was down 2.26% or 2.40 points to 103.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 124 to 77 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in SABB Takaful (SE:8080) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.89% or 3.25 to 36.10. Shares in ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) rose to 3-years highs; up 7.16% or 2.85 to 42.65.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $60.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $64.07 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 11.95 to trade at $1697.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.26% to 4.4045, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 93.093.
