Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Building & Construction and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 10.00% or 1.46 points to trade at 16.06 at the close. Meanwhile, CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (SE:8240) added 9.97% or 1.88 points to end at 20.74 and Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. (SE:3020) was up 7.63% or 1.22 points to 17.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Chemical Company (SE:2230), which fell 2.98% or 0.62 points to trade at 20.18 at the close. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 2.88% or 0.25 points to end at 8.43 and Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) was down 2.66% or 0.58 points to 21.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 166 to 23 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.88% or 0.95 to $23.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.26% or 0.07 to hit $27.32 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.80% or 29.35 to trade at $1662.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.79% to 4.1178, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7555.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.87% at 100.115.
