Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Industrial Investment and Media & Publishing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240), which rose 10.00% or 1.84 points to trade at 20.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrical Industries Co (TADAWUL:1303) added 9.78% or 4.00 points to end at 44.90 and Arriyadh Development Co. (TADAWUL:4150) was up 8.46% or 1.60 points to 20.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which fell 5.88% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.16 at the close. Saudi Airlines Catering Company (TADAWUL:6004) declined 2.85% or 3.20 points to end at 109.00 and Development Works Food Co (TADAWUL:6013) was down 2.20% or 2.60 points to 115.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 203 to 60 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electrical Industries Co (TADAWUL:1303) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.78% or 4.00 to 44.90.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.69% or 0.56 to $81.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.53% or 0.45 to hit $85.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 10.95 to trade at $1,976.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.41% to 4.10, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 102.90.
