Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Retail and Media & Publishing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alujain Corporation (TADAWUL:2170), which rose 7.55% or 4.20 points to trade at 59.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Development Works Food Co (TADAWUL:6013) added 6.62% or 11.80 points to end at 190.00 and Zahrat Al Waha for Trading Co (TADAWUL:3007) was up 6.04% or 2.15 points to 37.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:8190), which fell 9.95% or 1.96 points to trade at 17.74 at the close. Alinma Retail REIT Fund Unit (TADAWUL:4345) declined 3.40% or 0.19 points to end at 5.40 and Almunajem Foods Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4162) was down 3.15% or 2.20 points to 67.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 170 to 55 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:8190) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.95% or 1.96 to 17.74. Shares in Alinma Retail REIT Fund Unit (TADAWUL:4345) fell to all time lows; down 3.40% or 0.19 to 5.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.72% or 3.72 to $96.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.06% or 3.27 to hit $103.65 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.95 to trade at $1,703.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.00% to 3.82, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.03% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 107.01.
