Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Building & Construction and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.85% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051), which rose 6.77% or 7.60 points to trade at 119.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Kingdom Holding Company (SE:4280) added 4.60% or 0.46 points to end at 10.46 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 4.13% or 2.20 points to 55.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150), which fell 2.16% or 0.46 points to trade at 20.84 at the close. Al Moammar Information Systems Co CJSC (SE:7200) declined 1.96% or 3.20 points to end at 160.40 and Arabian Internet and Communications Services Co CSJC (SE:7202) was down 1.63% or 3.20 points to 193.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 163 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.16% or 0.46 to 20.84.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.99% or 0.76 to $77.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.04% or 0.83 to hit $80.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 12.10 to trade at $1826.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.40% to 4.2541, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7561.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.013.
