Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082), which rose 9.70% or 38.80 points to trade at 438.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (TADAWUL:4290) added 8.92% or 3.05 points to end at 37.25 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) was up 8.09% or 2.60 points to 34.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nahdi Medical Co (TADAWUL:4164), which fell 2.48% or 3.40 points to trade at 133.60 at the close. The Company for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8010) declined 2.42% or 4.00 points to end at 161.00 and Jabal Omar Development Company (TADAWUL:4250) was down 2.32% or 0.65 points to 27.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 170 to 117 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 8.09% or 2.60 to 34.75.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.20% or 0.94 to $77.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.17% or 0.97 to hit $82.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.25 to trade at $2,323.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.05% to 4.03, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 105.46.
